I absolutely adore this new series by author Savannah Rylan! The men are big and rough but moral. They are well known in the community and the surrounding areas, not for the mayhem that most MC’s are known for; instead, their greatest gift is the protection they give to the innocent and their community. These Black Hornets are gritty, skilled and most are former military. But when security is needed, the Black Hornets know how to get things done. In the first novel of the series, readers met Jace the club’s VP and Leti the woman who went from being a client to being Jace’s lover. In “MAVERICK” readers meet Gabriela who thinks she is going undercover to gather intel for her father’s business associates. However, what Gabriela finds is Maverick, the Black Hornet for whom the novel is named. Gabby also gets her eyes opened and her life changed through that association, but you will have to read this compelling and fast-paced adventure yourself to find out the “deets.” At time “MAVERICK” felt more like an action-adventure drama than a romance, but then I turned the page and BOOM, there’s the romance again! I LOVED this novel! It is well written, tells a GREAT story with lots of moving parts, and entertained me for hours while my feet recovered from last minute shopping. Savannah Rylan is an incredibly talented writer, her characters are compelling, and as in the case of Gabby, her heroines are strong and smart. I voluntarily read a copy of “MAVERICK” and this is my honest, voluntary review. “MAVERICK” gets 5+STARS from this reviewer, and a STRONG recommendation to all who love reading romance with a little spice and a lot of steam, or those who like the MC trope, READ this novel TODAY! In this 2nd in the Black Hornets MC series, we have Maverick. Maverick is usually riding around town making sure nothing is out of the ordinary and no one is dealing drugs.

We also have Gabby. She usually digging up information on companies and people for her father. Thinking she’s helping his business and doing a job for his work. Gabby doesn’t realize that her father is one of the top ranking people inside the cartel.

Gabby and Maverick meet one night she is at a local bar. They’ve lived in the same area most of their lives and yet they’ve never seen each other until now.

Gabby and Maverick totally hit things off with seductive looks from across the bar at each other. Of course they go back into the bathroom to get things going. Gabby goes home with Maverick. Both thinking this was a one night stand, but once they are apart for a few hours they both want each other back.

Maverick and Gabby do meet up again and have the same steamy romance again. Maverick realizes who Gabby is after one of his club mates mentions her. Gabby realizes who her father is and what he has done, and how she has helped him all along.

Will Gabby and Maverick be in the run from her father and the cartel? Will Maverybe able to protect her? Will this danger drive a wedge in between them?
This is an exciting action packed suspense filled mc romance story.When Gabbys dad asked her to dig up everything she could on the Black Hornets MC, she was excited to help the family business .Her dad had her believe that the business was legal in all ways.He told her she might have to go undercover again.She said she'd get right on it.Gabby knew she couldn't walk into a black hornets bar without drawing attention.So she went to a little seedy bar off the beaten path. She drank and ate hot wings and the gang bangers were checking her out but she wasn't interested when the bartender made a play she lethim down easy.Just as she was getting ready to leave in walked a guy that was a walking fantasy. He was wearing a Black Hornets MC jacket. Maverick saw the beauty setting in his place so he took a seat at the corner of the bar. She was small curvy and was built just like he liked his women.He grey eyes were mesmerizing. He told the bartender to give her a drink which seemed to piss him off tough Maverick didn't care.As he sat there people keep coming up to him when it finally stop he decided he's play with his. Chicken wings to tempt her.She was beautiful spicy funny and firey.He knew he had to have her in his bed. The sexual,chemistry between Maverick and Gabby is off the charts .There is action,danger, hot sex scenes and love all in one great book.I love the way this amazing author brings the characters to life before your eyes.I can hardly wait to see what's next by this multi talented author.I voluntarily decided to review this advanced reader copy because I know it's so worth reading.
Purchased the book 12-4-18 and it will not download for me. My review will change if the issue gets fixed
Maverick tried to monitor what is going on in town. Especially trying to make sure no one tried to.bring drugs in. He meets Gabby in a bar and they immediately get together. She is supposed to get information on the Black Hornets and report back to her father. She doesn't know about her father's bad business, and falls for Maverick. I enjoyed the book until the end and the confusing way it ended. Not to give away spoilers but there were questions that about have been answered.
Maverick is book two in the series The Black Hornets by author Savannah Rylan. Holy sh......!! This one is incredibly intense!! Imagine living and believing in one person you’re whole life - only to find out that it’s all lies. Now there’s one man who’s different and important. Will he believe you or will he be your end??
Yep, absolutely intense!! Oh and some deliciously sexy scenes as well!! Waiting with bated breath for the next in this series!!
